The Third International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD) will take place from July 13-16 2015, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
The conference will include heads of state or government, relevant ministers – ministers for finance, foreign affairs and development cooperation – and other special representatives.
It will result both in an intergovernmentally negotiated and agreed outcome and in summaries of the plenary meetings and other deliberations at the conference.
The meeting will focus on the critical role of international public finance as a driver for poverty eradication and sustainable development, as well as exploring other sources of finance.
It was also discuss how to finance the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals, a new set of global development goals that are due to be agreed and adopted in New York in late September 2015, to take effect from 2016.
